Designing the Whole-Person Care Program
September 14-15, 2026

The TED Whole-Person Care Program (WPCP) is being designed to help people living with thyroid eye disease and Graves’ disease strengthen their health and wellbeing alongside appropriate medical care. It will be launched during TED Awareness Week in November 2026.

The program will combine:
• AI-informed patient and health literacy
• Reliable health and medical information
• Anti-inflammatory lifestyle education
• Partnership with healthcare providers
• Personal reflection and customization
• Small, realistic and sustainable changes
• Learning from others with lived experience
• Guidance from medical and other subject-matter experts
• Ongoing community support and encouragement

Today, we are asking TED Builders to help us shape it. We do not want to design a program that simply tells people what they “should” do. We want to build a program that helps people learn, question, explore, personalize, choose, practice and sustain changes that may help them live better with TED.

The Whole Person Care Program can be summarized simply:
Learn → Nourish → Move & Restore → Partner in Care → Emotional & Social Wellbeing → Reclaim Your Life → Stay Connected

It is about helping people become informed and active participants in their health—working in partnership with their healthcare providers, learning from credible experts and one another, and discovering small choices that may help them live as well as possible with TED.

At best, helping participants live more fully and navigate their individual journey from TED to NED (no evidence of disease).
