SESSION 1

WHEN ONE BECOMES TWO

Understanding Double Vision in Thyroid Eye Disease

Double vision can be one of the most disruptive effects of TED — affecting driving, reading, working, walking safely, and everyday independence. Why does it happen? How does it change over the course of TED? And what can be done?

Two people living with TED-related double vision join two strabismus specialists for a candid conversation about the real-life impact of seeing two, why TED causes the eyes to become misaligned, and the options for managing and treating double vision — from patches and prisms to surgical correction.

PANEL
Alejandra De Alba Campomanes, MD, MPH,  Specializing in strabismus (abnormal eye alignment) at at the University of California, San Francisco
Brent Hayek, MD, Oculoplastic and reconstructive surgeon at North Georgia Eye Associates
Joe LoVerde
, TED Patient
Chesna Adams, TED Patient

Facilitated by Carol Bowden, PharmD, MBA, BCPS

SESSION 2

WHICH TREATMENT IS RIGHT FOR ME?

Understanding Today’s TED Treatment Choices

There are more ways to treat TED today — and more decisions for patients to make. How do treatments differ? What are the potential benefits, risks, and side effects? And how do you and your medical team determine which approach may be appropriate for you?

A multidisciplinary panel of leading TED specialists explores today’s treatment landscape –from established approaches to newer therapies and surgery — and the factors that can guide individual treatment decisions. Most importantly, we’ll talk about how your symptoms, health history, priorities, concerns, and goals can become part of shared decision-making.
