“Intertwined Voices” – Seeing through TED together

In honor of TED Awareness Week and the ConnecTED 2025 conference, we’re coming together to be heard, to be seen, and to be understood. We invite everyone to listen, to share, and to see through TED—together. Because when our stories intertwine, they create something stronger. Together, our voices don’t just raise awareness—they inspire change!

Objective:

Bring our voices together to share our personal journeys with TED, celebrate the power of community and connection and create a visual representation that raises awareness and hope.

Examples:

You could use materials like string, twine or branches to represent threads of connection, with words hanging from them.
Use symbols, colors, shapes or words that reflect your journey with TED through the lens of story (experience), science (knowledge) and solidarity (connection).
You could also include elements that make you feel empowered, centered and seen.

Supplies:

Mixed Media Paper – for paint, collage and layering
Acrylic paint or paint pens – for color, expression, and highlighting key elements
String, twine or branches – to represent stages, connections, or intertwined voices
Different fabrics – for layering and adding depth
Found objects – shells, buttons to symbolize connection and texture, or any other found items
Glue/glue stick
