April 9-11, 2025 the TED Community Builders gathered in Chicago at the Amgen Deerfield office. The purpose of the workshop was to design CONNECTED 2025, a Thyroid Eye Disease Global Patient & Partner Virtual Conference that will take place during TED Awareness Week, November 10-16. To prepare for the TED Builder Workshop, we created and met with a 15-person Medical Council and a separate 20-person Corporate Council. Needless to say, we already had a lot of momentum and engagement. The TED Builders Workshop was instrumental in putting the final pieces together by determining the exact content of CONNECTED 2025.

A special thanks to BJ Viau and his patient advocacy team (Daniel, Molly + Amy) at Amgen Rare Disease Unit who hosted us for the series of meetings, ensured we had delicious meals, and kept us on track as we engaged in brainstorming ideas and blueprinting our plans for CONNECTED 2025.
